Overview

Vivian Concierge is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) Med Surg for a nursing job in Athens, Tennessee.

• In collaboration with a licensed preceptor, performs initial and ongoing assessments of the patient’s condition. Establishes a plan of care appropriate to identified problems and involves the patient according to his or her capabilities and desires.
• Under the direct supervision of a licensed preceptor, performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care as needed.
• Under the direct supervision of a licensed preceptor, documents patient care provided.
• Under direct supervision of a licensed preceptor, monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to the care team, physician, patient, and family.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
• Under direct supervision of a licensed preceptor, collaborates across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral, and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
• Under direct supervision of a licensed preceptor, evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
• Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.

• Applicants should have an associate degree in Nursing.
• Applicants should be in the process of sitting for the NCLEX and receive a current Tennessee Registered Nurse license or another compact state license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required at the time of hire.

Graduate Registered Nurse (RN) - Med/Surg — Full Time, Night shift: 7:00 pm–7:00 am, 3x12 hour shifts one week and 3x12 hour shifts the next week, rotating weekends.
