Overview

Senior Clinic LPN Provides direct patient care in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice. Supervises the clinic staff and assists with the coordination of the daily functions of the clinic.

Starr Regional Medical Center is a 118-bed acute hospital that has been offering exceptional care to the Athens and Etowah, TN community for over 50 years.

What we’re looking for:

Education: Graduate of an LPN program

License: Current LPN to practice in the state of Tennessee

Certifications: BCLS (Health Care Provider);
For Occupational Medicine Specific Only- BCLS Trainer and Specimen Collection required

Minimum Work Experience 6 years clinical experience

Required Skills Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

• Collects and documents patient intake data. Maintains accurate and complete patient records.
• Provides patient support that reflects considerations for emotional, physical, social, cultural, religious and economic influences.
• Assists with routine clinic support activities.
• Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
• Maintains appropriate, safe and therapeutic environment per clinic policy.
• Coordinates nursing staff to facilitate accessibility and continuity of care.
• Coordinates requests of physicians and office staff in regard to patient activities and needs.
• Athena Super User role.
• Assist with Quality Controls of all Point of Care testing.
• Provide support for staffing when management is unavailable.
• Decision recommendations for staffing overtime and low census to be communicated to manager for final approvals.

• Assist with orientation and training of personnel and students. Participates and attends meetings as required and/ or assigned. Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
