Overview
Job Description - Certified Medical Assistant - PRN - Physician's Practices (1611956) at Starr Regional Medical Center
ResponsibilitiesDescription PRN position for a Certified Medical Assistant. Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to the following:
- Performs selected nursing and administrative duties.
- Prepares patients for examination and treatment.
- Takes patients histories and vital signs.
- Prepares exam and treatment rooms with necessary instruments.
- Assists with scheduling of tests and treatments.
- Screens telephone calls for referral to physician.
- Assist in maintaining patient files, records, and other information to contribute to accurate data gathering.
- Attends required meetings and participates in committees as requested.
- Maintains patient confidentiality.
- Practice and adhere to the "Code of Conduct" philosophy and "Mission and Value Statement".
Qualifications for the position include but are not limited to the following;
- Certified Medical Assistant certification
- 3-5 years medical office experience preferred.
