• Provides for the individual rights of the patients
• Directs / provides for the appropriate assessment and re-assessment of patients
• Plans and provides appropriate nursing care based on the individual patient's assessed needs
• Provides healthcare education to patients and / or families
• Provides continuity of care by enlisting the services of other healthcare team members
• Manages patient s care to ensure patient and environmental safety and to minimize risk to the patient, family, and the organization
• manages time and supplies effectively
• communicates and documents pertinent information to all appropriate individuals in the continuum of care
• Demonstrates knowledge of and adherence to National Patient Safety Goals
• Demonstrates knowledge of EMTALA regulations
• Demonstrates proper triage of patient s based on established guidelines
• Demonstrates knowledge/ skills necessary to care for trauma patients
• Demonstrates knowledge of caring for deceased patients / DOA
• Demonstrates knowledge / skills of assisting with moderate sedation
• Demonstrates knowledge / skills of administering blood products
• Demonstrates knowledge / skills of casting / splinting applications
• Demonstrates recognition of interpretation of arrhythmia s
• Demonstrates knowledge of CDC protocols
• Demonstrates knowledge / skills of code blue protocols
• Demonstrates knowledge / skills of adverse drug reaction protocols

• Emergencyexperience preferred
• Must have BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications
• Graduate of Accredited RN Nursing Educational Program
• RNLicensure in the State of Tennessee required
