The Electronics Technician works as part of an assembly team having responsibility for creating, testing, evaluating, and performing repairs of individual components, sub-assemblies, and final assembly of the entire product. The incumbents are required to perform repetitive manufacturing assembly operations with little supervision.
Routine Functions- Good communication (oral and written) skills.

- Continuously develop skills through training, observation, and/or through additional education.
- Demonstrated ability in troubleshooting, soldering, and hand assembly.
- Experience reading schematics, wiring diagrams, mechanical drawings, process documents, and quality inspection documents.

Duties, Education, Experience- Safe operating practice in compliance with all site requirements.
- Demonstrate expert‑level soldering and de‑soldering skills, including precise component removal, repair, and rework on through‑hole and surface‑mount assemblies.
- Perform assembly, test, and repair operations of electronics as directed.
- Work independently to evaluate failed electronic assemblies, identify cause, and perform repairs.
- Maintain detailed written records, including documentation of evaluation and repairs of assemblies, non‑conforming products, and electronics inventory.
- Inspect all individual components/sub‑assemblies/final assemblies for quality/accuracy.
- Document and communicate all testing and inspection results in both oral and written formats.
- Use of computer software, electronics test equipment, and hand‑held tools.
- Ability to read and use tools such as: calipers, micrometers, multimeters, thermocouples, oscilloscopes, and relevant powered tools/machines.
- Safe use of chemicals including solvents, adhesives, lubricants, compressed gases, liquid nitrogen, solder/flux, and cleaners.
- Basic mathematical skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division).
- Ability to communicate effectively (oral and written).
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to receive and follow instructions/processes precisely while paying strict attention to the details.
- High school graduate or equivalent.
