Become a key player in delivering exceptional obstetric and gynecologic care as a Locum Physician Hospitalist in Athens, Ohio. This vital role offers a unique opportunity to support community healthcare through in-house, 24-hour coverage, ensuring the safety and well-being of patients during emergencies and routine admissions. Required Skills:
- Active and unrestricted MD or DO license in Ohio
- Board-certified or board-eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology
- Proven experience handling obstetric and gynecologic emergencies
- Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment
- Comfort with real-time communication regarding patient care and deliveries
- Experience working in a hospitalist setting or as a locum
- Familiarity with electronic medical record systems
- Additional certifications such as NRP or ALSO
- Bilingual abilities to serve diverse patient populations
- Medical degree from an accredited institution
- Minimum of 2 years of obstetric or hospitalist experience
- Prior experience in a hospital-based obstetrics setting preferred
- Availability to start on 12/31/2025
- Willingness to work varied shifts, including nights and weekends
- Certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- Compliance with all state and federal healthcare regulations
- Ability to review and process credentialing and licensure documentation
- Reimbursements for travel, licensure, and certifications as applicable
