Locum - Physician - Hospitalist - OB Athens, OH

Required Skills:

• Active and unrestricted MD or DO license in Ohio
• Board-certified or board-eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology
• Proven experience handling obstetric and gynecologic emergencies
• Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment
• Comfort with real-time communication regarding patient care and deliveries

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience working in a hospitalist setting or as a locum
• Familiarity with electronic medical record systems
• Additional certifications such as NRP or ALSO
• Bilingual abilities to serve diverse patient populations

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Medical degree from an accredited institution
• Minimum of 2 years of obstetric or hospitalist experience
• Prior experience in a hospital-based obstetrics setting preferred

Other Requirements:

• Availability to start on 12/31/2025
• Willingness to work varied shifts, including nights and weekends
• Certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
• Compliance with all state and federal healthcare regulations
• Ability to review and process credentialing and licensure documentation
