- The Associate Warehouse Technician supports warehouse operations by receiving, storing, transferring, and managing materials and products using inventory management systems.
- The role ensures accurate inventory control, proper documentation, and compliance with operational and quality procedures while maintaining organized warehouse environments.
- Operate inventory management and control systems to receive, supply, transfer, store materials, record cycle counts, and maintain accurate inventory records
- Prepare expired or obsolete inventory for proper destruction.
- Receive and inspect raw materials, packaging materials, semi-finished and finished products from suppliers, purchase orders, production orders, or transfers
- Use material handling equipment such as forklifts, order pickers, electric pallet jacks, and manual pallet jacks.
- Perform accurate real-time data entry in SAP for inventory receipts and inventory transactions.
- Ensure adherence to First Expiry First Out (FEFO) inventory practices and ensure proper handling of expired materials.
- Label all received materials and products and ensure proper packaging of pallets, boxes, and shipping containers.
- Deliver materials to the appropriate warehouse locations.
- Order supporting materials such as labels and packing materials as required
- Prepare and transfer products or materials for shipment to production, export locations, or external warehouses.
- Maintain and prepare required documentation and obtain signatures while following documentation procedures.
- Support service quality requirements for material sampling when requested
- Navigate the SAP system to perform material inventory queries, bin-to-bin transfers, transfer orders, and basic inventory adjustments.
- Use barcode scanners, printers, and label printers for warehouse operations
- Maintain clean and organized work areas including warehouse locations, coolers, and freezers.
- Remain trained and compliant with quality systems and operational procedures.
- Basic knowledge of workplace organization practices.
- Ability to work at least one weekend per month on an on-call basis.
- Understanding of metric system measurements.
- Intermediate knowledge of SAP, WCS, or similar ERP storage systems.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Experience operating forklifts, electric pallet jacks, manual pallet jacks, and order picking equipment.
- Inventory counting and inventory control skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to follow procedures and maintain documentation.
- Strong attention to detail and teamwork mindset.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Experience in warehouse operations, manufacturing, production, or material handling.
- Forklift certification preferred.
