Position Summary: This is a semi‑skilled part‑time position at the Burton 4‑H Center on Tybee Island operating buses. The role involves safe and efficient operation of vehicular equipment, some equipment maintenance duties, and other semi‑skilled building maintenance tasks. Employees receive detailed instructions from a supervisor and perform their work according to established procedures with frequent daily inspections.

• At least a high school diploma or equivalent.

• Drive bus with students to and from field study sights – 80% of time.
• Occasionally drive to local schools to pick‑up or drop‑off day groups – 10% of time.
• Clean buses, including sweeping, washing windshields, and cleaning dashboards – 10% of time.

• Experience in the operation of a bus or truck, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.

Sitting for long periods and occasional light lifting in indoor and outdoor environments.

• Driving is a responsibility of this position.
