- Observe the safety and wellbeing of swimmers
- Observe weather – as conditions may change rapidly
- Clear pool of guest/lost items/secure gate when closing
- Rock Eagle pools are open based on group reservations. The pools are open sporadically and you will not have the same schedule week to week. You will receive your schedule 3 weeks in advance and will have 1 week to contact me with any conflicts.
- Pools can be reserved any time from 8am-10pm
- As a lifeguard your primary responsibility will be to supervise pool activity. In addition to lifeguarding, you will be responsible for obtaining the pool keys to open the pool and returning them at the end of your shift. You will be expected to keep the pool storage closets clean and organized. You may be asked to sweep off the pool deck or clean up trash around the pool before pool use.
/ Education
- Certified lifeguard and first aid training through American Red Cross - not required, will provide training.
- Complete 350-yard continuous swim into 2 minutes of treading water using only legs, followed by a 200-yard continuous swim. Retrieve ten-pound lifeguard brick from 7-foot depth and swim it back to pool’s edge
- Retrieve 3 rings from 4-7 foot depth in one breath
