- Serve food at the dining hall; set up buffet lines and serve individual plates; interact with customers from young children to senior citizens. (35% time)
- Clean and sanitize the work area, operate a commercial dishwasher; clean chairs, tables, and service lines; sweep and mop floors; clean windows, baseboards, blinds; walkways and walls of food service building. (35% time)
- Assist cooks in preparing and cooking food; assist with preparation of menu items. (20% time)
- Other tasks as assigned. (10% time)
- Relevant/Preferred Education, Experience, Licensure, Certification in Position:
Some experience in kitchen work. - Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or
Competencies:
Skilled in reading, writing, and simple math. Ability to follow written and oral directions. - Physical Demands:
Lifting food items, up to 25 pounds, and prolonged standing for food preparation. Driving.
