- Collect accurate data (measurements) on pine research plots across the 10 state southern region. Install pine research plots in new locations. (70% of time)
- Apply fertilizer to pine research studies across the 10 state southern region. (20% of time)
- Maintain forestry equipment and vehicles. (10% of time)

Temporary Technical Paraprofessional - FLSA:
Non-Exempt - FTE: 1.00
Assist Plantation Management Research Cooperative (PMRC) field crew with a variety of different field work and data collection. This will entail measuring characteristics of pine and hardwood trees in the field, fertilization, and installation of research plots. Extensive travel required to visit research installations.
Qualifications- Relevant/Preferred Education, Experience, Licensure, Certification In Position:
High school diploma;
Experience in forest measurements preferred. - Knowledge, Skills, Abilities And/or
Competencies:
Understanding of forestry measurements and tools.
This position requires that you be willing to work in extreme temperatures and lift fifty-pound bags of fertilizer repeatedly.
