Responsibilities
  • Trapping and tagging bobwhites using baited walk-in funnel traps
  • Tracking Bobwhites using radio telemetry
  • Vegetation surveys
  • Travel around field site
  • Data entry and equipment maintenance
  • Interact with the grant sponsor as applicable
Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities And/or Competencies
  • Knowledge in wildlife management or closely related field
  • Interest in game bird management and ecology
  • Previous telemetry, field research, and computer experience
  • Understanding of consumptive wildlife management practices
  • Positive attitude and willingness to be a team player
  • Prior experience working with Northern Bobwhites
  • Previous experience with radio-telemetry

Comfortable working independently and after dark; driving as needed to perform job duties
