Position Summary:

The postdoctoral scholar will join 2 NIH-funded grants that evaluate the efficacy of a novel cognitive training intervention for improving emotion regulation ability in schizophrenia. The grant uses fMRI as a key outcome measure. The postdoctoral fellow will supervise clinical diagnostic interviews, score interviews, and work with computer task data and fMRI data. The postdoc will work under the mentorship of Dr.

Strauss to provide ongoing clinical supervision for assessments, help analyze and interpret task data, and prepare results for publication and presentation at conferences.

Qualifications

Relevant/Preferred Education, Experience, Licensure, Certification In Position:

  • Ph.D. in Psychology, Neuroscience, or a closely related field
  • A strong record of publication
  • Demonstrated interest in neuroimaging research
  • High self-motivation to develop research questions, design, and analyses

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities And/or

Competencies:

Preference will be given to applicants with strong written and oral communication skills; experience with neuroimaging data processing and analysis; experience with affective science and/or schizophrenia research.
