  • Take agronomic notes, collect data, and harvest soybean research plots in the field.
  • Work in the seed lab to weigh and clean samples, thresh individual plants, and prepare seed for spring planting.

Qualifications
  • Relevant/Preferred Education, Experience, Licensure, Certification In Position:
    Preference given to students with background education in agriculture and/or chemistry. Preference given to students with experience with soybean or near-infrared spectroscopy.
Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the student will regularly stand, sit, talk, hear, use hands and fingers to operate a grinder and computer, reach, and stoop/kneel to lift. Lifting up to 50 lbs. Exposure to moderate-loud noise (earplugs provided). Sit and perform repetitive tasks for long periods. Exposure to soybeans and soybean dust (dusk mask provided).
