Research Technician – Neuromuscular Diseases
Position Summary:
This position will work with others on our team to develop treatments for neuromuscular diseases such as ALS (Lou Gehrig disease). We work on cell-based and gene therapies in cellular and models. The role involves conducting detailed studies and has the potential to work independently.
- Conduct research in the lab, including data collection, recording, and assisting with report development.
- Assist with lab maintenance: enforce safety regulations, manage laboratory instruments and inventory, purchase lab supplies and ensure overall organization.
- Supervise student workers and undergraduate students assisting with research.
- Minimum:
Technical knowledge in the field acquired through an apprenticeship, a 2‑year degree, or professional certificate. - Preferred:
Bachelor’s degree, lab and research knowledge and skills, excellent oral and written communication skills.
Minimal lifting/bending in a typical office/lab environment. Driving is required.
