• Under supervision: mowing grass, managing weeds and pests, trimming shrubs and trees, and removing leaves and debris.

Percentage Of Time: 70% for first duty; 20% for maintenance; 10% for planting related duties.

Under supervision this position will provide assistance maintaining the grounds on the UGA Griffin Campus. Work includes planting flower beds; irrigating; planting and trimming shrubs and trees; mowing grass; spraying pesticides; trimming shrubs; helping maintain lawn equipment; and other related grounds keeping duties.

• Relevant/Preferred Education, Experience, Licensure, Certification In Position:
  Graduated from a high school and experience in grounds maintenance work is preferred.

  Follow instructions and work with grounds maintenance equipment.

Working outside under adverse weather conditions; heavy lifting; walking; standing; reaching; turning; bending; climbing; proper use and operations of landscape equipment.
