  • Experience with in a general veterinary practice

Position Summary: The Licensed Veterinary Technician working within the College of Veterinary Medicine’s Pet Health Center (PHC) will perform the following duties: monitoring the receiving schedule, technician appointments, monitoring records, inputting charges, specimen collection, patient treatments, RX refills, sedating and recovering patients, fielding questions, consults and calls for the clinicians, helping and training senior veterinary students and technician students with physicals, treatments, phlebotomy, bandaging, as well as assisting during patient receiving, and cleaning and organizing the ward with adherence to Infectious Dx protocols.

This individual will aid in these duties as well as enhance patient receiving and diagnostic imaging, timely patient call backs, and surgical support with patient prep and as a scrub nurse. This technician will also be responsible for obtaining radiographic images and coordinating transports between the Pet Health Center and the Veterinary Teaching Hospital.
