Manufacturing Engineer, Quality Engineering
Program Specialists monitor and sustain the production flow of specific customer product lines. Program Specialists are also required to analyze manufacturing and quality control requirements for a specific product line and accurately gather and report data to internal and external stakeholders.
Essential Functions- Assists in reviewing and entering customer orders into ERP/MRP system
- Acknowledges orders in customer portal(s)
- Develops & assists with the creation of manufacturing support documentation such as In-Process Inspection plans (QI), First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR), Masking Templates (MT), internal procedures or standard work instructions, Dimensional Inspection Reports (DIR), and Supplier Deviation Requests (SDR)
- Assists with the creation and monitoring of outside processing purchase orders and receipts
- Reviews outside processing certifications for accuracy
- Creates Certificate of Compliance (COC) documents
- May create or modify computer drawings, models, and part details using CAD software
- Prepares parts for customer source inspection and assists with source inspection as required
- Assists with part marking
- Prepares parts for Final Inspection
- Creates shipping documents
- Assists with packaging and coordinates shipments as required
- Assists with obtaining and providing parts status updates and participates in customer calls as needed
- Performs other duties and special projects as required
- Regular attendance on-site at the workplace is required
- A high school diploma or GED equivalent is required
- Associate's or similar vocational training in CAD drafting/design is preferred
- Minimum of three (3) years experience in production control or other similar customer or manufacturing support is required; manufacturing industry experience preferred
- Experience in the aerospace manufacturing industry is preferred
- Ability to accurately read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications
- Demonstrated analytical, problem‑solving, and critical thinking abilities to handle unexpected challenges and make decisions appropriately
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality, securing customer documents and company records, and demonstrating integrity in communications and actions
- Self‑management skills including efficiency, sense of urgency, ability to adapt and respond to unexpected circumstances, and ability to juggle multiple projects, competing priorities, and meet concurrent deadlines
- Efficient time management and work organizational skills are essential
- Professional verbal and written communication skills (English) are essential
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word
- ERP experience is required;
Infor Visual experience is preferred
- Regularly stand and walk throughout the facility, including all buildings and the manufacturing areas
- Regularly lift, carry (short distances), and push/pull up to 50 pounds
- Occasionally climb steps, stairs, or ladders
- Occasionally bend, crawl, stoop, squat, or kneel
- Constantly communicate verbally and in writing (English) using a phone, texts, or other messaging
- Visual acuity to read drawings, precision measuring instruments, and perform part inspections
- Use hands and fingers to operate computer keyboards, and measurement instruments, and manually examine parts
- Excessive noise - hearing protection required (occasionally)
- Dust, fumes/vapors (occasionally)
- Extreme temperatures (occasionally)
- Hazardous equipment including forklifts, hand tools, cranes or other lifting devices, and other equipment used in a machine shop environment
The use of PPE, including hearing protection, eye protection and safety footwear is required; hand protection and other PPE may be required for some tasks.
