Warehouse Associate - (1st, 2nd and 3rd shift)- Athens, GA

Key Responsibilities- Use heavy equipment including cherry picker, stand‑up forklifts, sit‑down forklifts, and overhead cranes.
- Perform material handling and warehousing functions.
- Order fill, process, store and pick parts, materials, equipment, and supplies.
- Conduct basic quality assessment of parts for damage and defects.
- Verify part numbers, part locations and quantities from a variety of documents.
- At least 3 months of previous work experience.
- Role requires overtime as needed to support business needs.
- Willing and able to frequently lift and carry boxes weighing up to 35 pounds for intervals of 15-30 minutes.
- Willing and able to infrequently lift and carry boxes weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Willing and able to work at heights of up to 20 feet from the floor.
- Willing and able to work in an environment with frequently changing temperatures.
- Willing and able to walk, squat and bend over for intervals of 15-30 minutes.
- 2+ years of continuous employment in industrial assembly or manufacturing.
- Continuous work history with progressive movement.
- Forklift experience.
- Logistics/warehouse experience.
- SAP experience.
- Heavy equipment product line experience (i.e., excavators, tractors, etc.).
1st shift:
Monday‑Thursday 6 am – 4:30 pm or Monday‑Friday 7 am – 3:30 pm.
2nd shift:
Monday‑Thursday 5 pm – 3:30 am or Monday‑Friday 3 pm – 11:30 pm.
3rd shift:
Sunday‑Thursday 11 pm – 7:30 am.
Entry pay is $18.90/hour. 2nd & 3rd shift receives an additional 8% night shift premium. Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job‑related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
Benefits include medical, dental, vision, RX, and 401(k) along with the potential of a quarterly bonus. Additional benefits include paid holidays and paid time off.
