Columbia Residential is looking for a Community Grounds Keeper / Monitor located in Athens, Georgia to become a part of our team!

Position SummaryThe Community Grounds Monitor is responsible for keeping the grounds of the community in an attractive condition; and for keeping exteriors, common areas, vacant apartments, sidewalks, and alleyways of the community in a clean and safe condition. The Grounds Keeper also assists in other types of maintenance when necessary.
Job Specific Competencies- When needed, provides service to residents in a prompt, courteous, and professional manner
- Walk the entire property daily picking up all debris and trash, operating the compactor, and emptying all common area trash cans
- Keeps curbs and speed breakers painted and in good repair
- Other duties as assigned by the service manager
- Maintains and cleans the pool and pool area
High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) for consideration
Position Qualifications- High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) for consideration
- CPO (Certified Pool Operator) desired
- One to two years related experience preferred, but not necessary
- Must be a well‑organized and self‑starter who can work efficiently with little supervision
- Completion of in‑house training within the first 90 days of employment
- Enjoy the work that they do, demonstrate a pleasant demeanor on the job and show a desire for success
- Exhibits behavior that is consistent with the Vision, Mission, and Core Values of the Company; makes working environment enjoyable for self and others
The Community Grounds Monitor may be required to assist in special projects or activities designated by the Company. This may include due diligence, property acquisition/disposition, serving on or participating in company-sponsored or sanctioned committees, organizations, functions, etc.
