Job Title:
Maintenance Planner / Scheduler
Job Duration: 12 months Contract on w2 (possible extension based on performance & clients need)
Est. Pay Range: $44.00 - $50.00 (USD) hourly
Work Type: 100% onsite (Monday - Friday 7:00 am - 3:30pm + occasional overtime as needed)

Effective maintenance planning is critical for safe, reliable operations. We are seeking a Maintenance Planner / Scheduler who brings a strong industrial maintenance background and a safety-first mindset.
This position plays a key role in reducing downtime, improving asset reliability, and reinforcing a culture where planning, precision, and safety go hand in hand.
Key Responsibilities- Develop, plan, and schedule preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance work using a CMMS or maintenance planning system.
- Integrate Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), lockout/tagout requirements, permits, and safety checklists into all maintenance work orders.
- Coordinate maintenance activities with operations, engineering, and EHS to ensure work is executed safely and with minimal operational disruption.
- Ensure all maintenance work with OSHA, company, and site-specific safety standards.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment history, JHAs, and completed safety documentation.
- Partner with internal teams, contractors, and vendors to ensure safety expectations and procedures are clearly communicated and followed.
- Plan and procure maintenance tools, parts, and safety equipment; manage spare parts inventory to support scheduled work.
- Identify opportunities to improve maintenance planning, scheduling efficiency, and safety processes.
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in industrial maintenance planning and scheduling, preferably in a manufacturing or heavy industrial environment with a high school diploma or GED. A bachelor's degree may be considered in lieu of part of the experience requirement.
- Strong working knowledge of industrial safety practices, including hazard identification, JHAs, lockout/tagout, and safe work procedures.
- Proficiency with CMMS or maintenance planning software.
- Excellent organizational and documentation skills with attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills across maintenance, operations, and safety teams.
- Familiarity with maintenance-related procurement and inventory management.
- Hands‑on background as a maintenance technician, electrician, or millwright.
- Formal safety training or certifications (OSHA 10/30, EHS training, or similar).
- Experience supporting contractor safety and work permit systems.
- Knowledge of reliability‑centered maintenance (RCM) or preventive maintenance programs.
