Preferred Qualifications Position SummaryThis position leads the Franklin OIT Systems Management team and is responsible for achieving the college's strategic vision for college-level technology services. This position oversees multiple complex projects with a college-wide scope, including fiscal responsibility and careful coordination with institutional stakeholders and/or external vendors. It involves excellent organization, problem-solving, customer service, and communication skills. This position provides managerial and technical leadership as it supervises, coaches, and mentors team members.
This position oversees the college back-end services including technical support for faculty and staff, computer labs, and classrooms. This includes technical support for the college's core infrastructure, research services, and provides consultation on a wide array of IT services including server hosting and support, guidance on technology budgeting for grant proposals, and best practices for data storage and backup solutions.
This position serves as a representative of Franklin OIT for various college and campus groups, striving for innovation and contributing to the development of college-level and university-wide IT standards and practices in alignment with relevant institution, system-wide, state, and federal guidelines, policies, and/or law.
