Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor s degree in a related field or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a Higher Education environment.
  • Experience with SSIS or Azure Data Factory.
  • Experience with Python/Pyspark.
  • Experience with API data extraction.
  • Experience with Power BI.
  • Experience with Excel Pivot Tables and/or OLAP cubes.

Position Summary: The Office of Institutional Research at the University of Georgia is seeking a skilled and motivated Data Warehouse Professional to join our team. This role is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our data infrastructure, including data warehouse, data lakes, and other storage solutions that support reporting and operational data needs across the institution. The successful candidate will collaborate with other data warehouse team members, DBAs, business analysts, and other stakeholders to ensure efficient, secure, and effective data management practices that deliver high value to the university.

Knowledge,

Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies
  • Understanding of data warehousing and lakehouse concepts (bronze, silver, gold layers).
  • Experience with traditional relational database systems (SQL Server, Oracle) and lakehouse environments like Microsoft Fabric or Databricks.
  • Proficiency with SQL (T-SQL, Spark SQL) for data transformation, modeling and optimization.
  • Experience developing ETL/ELT pipelines using SSIS, Azure Data Factory or Microsoft Fabric Data Factory.
