Position SummaryThis position provides cleaning services primarily in hotel guest rooms. The housekeeper responds to guest requests, identifies and notifies appropriate parties of maintenance issues, and maintains records of work performed and time spent. Responsibilities include maintaining the housekeeping cart with cleaning supplies, amenities, and linens. The role may include work in other areas maintained by the housekeeping department (public areas, laundry, offices).

- Work under time constraints and in a fast-paced environment.
- Understand and speak English.
Typically clean 16 hotel rooms per day. Lift or move at least 30 lbs. Push, pull, or roll a 75 pound cart. Bend, lift, kneel, and work with hands. Stand on feet and walk for long periods. Ability to see dust, hair, lint, and dirt and to identify odors to clean. Attentive to detail in cleaning and room presentation.

Duties/Responsibilities- Clean rooms and make beds to meet inspection guidelines using proper cleaning products, tools, and equipment.
- Report maintenance issues in a timely manner.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and time spent.
- Respond appropriately to guests’ requests.
- Maintain cart with cleaning supplies and linens: stock cart with linens, terry, amenities, and supplies; end-of-day trash removal and restock.
- Assist in cleaning other areas of the hotel as needed (houseperson, laundry, or public areas).
- Participate in training sessions and departmental meetings; provide input to improve policies and procedures.
