Overview
Cardiac Rehab Tech in the Respiratory Department at St Mary's Hospital. This is a PRN position — evening hours.
Position SummaryOversee the day-to-day clinical aspects related to the services of Cardiac Rehab. Implement and maintain the Cardiac Rehabilitation Phase 1 & 2 Program.
What You Will Do- Duties include admitting, evaluating, educating, and monitoring the patient’s outcomes throughout the program for the patient to achieve optimal outcomes.
- Program accreditation/certification and all associated responsibilities involved in this process.
- Creating and maintaining a smoking cessation program for the inpatient population as well as the consumer interested in attending.
- Use of the Scott System. Includes printing appropriate stress test documentation, H&P, and lab data from EMR for patients.
- Perform initial patient assessments (e.g., cardiovascular fitness, risk factors) and continuously monitor vitals during exercise sessions
- Conduct EKGs, stress tests, and telemetry monitoring
- BLS- thru American Heart Association
- High School Diploma (or GED equivalent) Graduate of ECG/EKG Training program required (in house training available).
- Clinical experience in EKG monitoring preferred
