The Surgical Tech will work in Outpatient Surgery y's Hospital in Athens GA. A clinically competent Surgical Technologist, under the supervision of the Registered Nurse, is responsible for the care and safety of the patient during the intra-operative period and assisting with preparation of the surgical patient by performance of routine and delegated duties according to standards and policies of the hospital.

The role includes assessing and providing basic patient care needs while maintaining patient care standards. The Surgical Tech should be self‑motivated and able to function as a member of a health care team.

• Prepare surgical patient and OR equipment.
• Assist during surgeries and ensure aseptic technique.
• Maintain sterility and instrument integrity.
• Support the RN and surgical team throughout procedures.
• Provide basic patient care needs as required.

• Graduate of an approved Surgical Technologist program.
• Must be able to read and write English.
• One year current operating room experience (student experience allowed).
• Service orientation and ability to respond to diverse patient needs (neonatal, pediatrics, adolescents, geriatrics).

• Knowledge of asepsis, basic biology, leadership qualities.
• Ability to work independently.
• Effective communication and organizational skills.
