Position Summary
The Student Assistant will serve as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) and support the full‑time Behavioral Analyst in providing behavioral therapy to individuals with developmental disabilities. This role includes prompting and reinforcing communication, teaching new skills, and implementing behavior reduction protocols. The assistant will collect direct observation data, enter it into computer systems, graph the results, and communicate findings to staff and caregivers.
The position is for the summer semester (May 12 – August
3) with scheduled clinic closures on May 22‑26 and June 29 – July 3.
- Deliver behavior therapy under the guidance of a lead Behavioral Analyst.
- Prompt and reinforce communication and instruction of new skills.
- Implement protocols designed to reduce undesirable behaviors.
- Collect and document direct observational data.
- Enter data into the computer system and generate graphical representations.
- Communicate data and progress to staff and care providers.
- Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification issued by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).
