BLOOD BANK SUPERVISOR

Full-time, Day Shift

Position

Purpose:

Responsible for the daily operation of the Blood Bank Department.

• Staffing, training, scheduling, supply management and supervision of testing performed.
• Maintain policy and procedures in accordance with CAP guidelines and monitor quality control practices in the Core Lab.
• Recognize results or problems that require referral to the Pathologist or Laboratory Director.

• Licensure:
  Medical Technologist, ASCP, AMT or NCA.
• Education:
  
  B.S. in Medical Technology or Applied Sciences; 5 years’ experience; alternative MT methods may substitute for degree.
• Experience:
  
  5 or more years’ experience preferred.
