Practice Manager – Athens General and Colorectal Surgeons
St. Mary's Health Care System is seeking an experienced Practice Manager to collaborate with physicians and staff in ambulatory practices.
Job OverviewThe role applies clinical and financial expertise to identify appropriate services and needs, advancing ambulatory practice(s) through strategic planning, quality goals, and technology leadership.
Responsibilities- Collaborate with physicians and staff to identify services and needs.
- Apply understanding of facility strategic and tactical plans to advance ambulatory practice(s).
- Act as a liaison between ambulatory clinical information system users and the Information Services Department.
- Provide support and leadership for technology and processes, including system security and training.
- Operate 1st‑level triage for IT related issues and coordinate with tier‑2 support as needed.
- Facilitate planning, development, enhancement, and evaluation of clinical information systems and workflow with vendors, physicians, and staff.
- Ensure timely resolution of problems with a strong customer‑oriented mentality.

Associate’s degree in health‑care related field or Business required;
Bachelor’s degree preferred - Experience
:
Minimum 2 years with practice management systems (setup, billing, registration, EMR). - Deep knowledge of physician practice management and workflow.
- Management experience required.
- Strong leadership and problem‑solving skills.
- Proficiency with GE Centricity, Medisoft, IMBills, and related systems.
- Critical thinking, planning, organizing, judgment, and decision‑making skills.
- Ability to analyze and develop comprehensive reports and interpret complex data.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Knowledge of hospitalist program operations.
- Clinical application skills in Practice Management, Electronic Medical Record, Medical Billing, and office workflow processes.
