Duties/Responsibilities- Facilitate outreach events, including awareness and tabling events.
- Complete content specifically onboarding training and ongoing professional development.
- Prepare information sheets related to interpersonal violence, substance use prevention, healthy relationships, sexual health, and well-being.
- Uses creativity to assist in making visuals for prevention strategies across campus.
- Creates buttons for students and employees to raise awareness about certain health and wellness related issues.
- Effectively communicate by adapting approaches to meet a wide range of student needs.
- Co-facilitate presentations on upstander intervention, stress management, healthy relationships, well-being, and other well-being related topics.
- Performs related work and other duties as assigned.
- Part time/Flexible with Class Schedule. Work a minimum of 15 hours per month including evening programming.

Minimum QualificationsPosition Summary:
Fontaine Peer Educators provide support and assistance to all aspects of the Fontaine Center including Relationship and Sexual Violence Prevention, Alcohol and other Drug Use Prevention, Sexual Health Education, and Well-being. This position will manage multiple tasks simultaneously while remaining actively engaged in duties. This position will communicate effectively with staff and peers to ensure tasks are completed accurately in a busy environment with ongoing deadlines.
Education, Experience, Licensure, Certification
- Preferred Major in Public Health, Health Promotion, Social Work, Communications or related field.
- Previous experience with public speaking.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
- Ability to facilitate challenging conversations with respect and empathy.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders, on campus and in the community.
- A commitment to working with various populations.
Transport light weight equipment (computer and program materials) across campus and to offsite presentations.
