Student Assistant - Registered Behavior Technician
Position Summary:
The person will work as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) and assist the lead full‑time Behavioral Analyst in delivering behavioral therapy to individuals with developmental disabilities. Responsibilities include prompting and reinforcing communication, instruction of new skills, and implementation of protocols to reduce undesirable behaviors. The role also involves collecting direct observational data, entering it into computer systems, graphing the data, and communicating results to staff and care providers.
Job Duration:
Summer semester (May 12 – Aug 3, 2026). The clinic will be closed May 22‑26 and June 29 – Jul 3.
- Assist the behavioral analyst in implementing therapeutic protocols.
- Prompt and reinforce communication and new skill acquisition.
- Collect and record data on behavior and intervention outcomes.
- Enter data into computer systems and graph results.
- Communicate data findings to staff and care providers.
- Active Registered Behavior Technician certification through the BACB.
- Knowledge of behavioral therapy techniques and data analysis.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
