Position: Teller (Part Time)

Description

The Credit Union of Georgia is growing within our branch network, and with that we are looking for a talented Teller (part time) for our Cobb County territory of branches. The Teller is responsible for providing exceptional service to members while efficiently and accurately processing a variety of financial transactions. These include deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, transfers, cash advances, and check cashing. This individual plays a key role in maintaining positive member relationships and ensuring each interaction reflects the credit union’s commitment to quality service.

Responsibilities
  • Uphold and represent Credit Union of Georgia brand standards by consistently delivering the member Journ

    EASE experience through Engage, Ask, Solve, and Excite, providing exceptional service at every interaction.
  • Process member transactions efficiently and accurately while answering questions regarding Credit Union products and services and directing members to the appropriate department when needed.
  • Receive and process member financial transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and account transfers.
  • Post transactions to member accounts and maintain accurate member records in accordance with Teller Standards, requiring minimal assistance from supervisors or coworkers.
  • Complete operational tasks including ordering checks, processing cash advances, IRA withdrawals, monetary instruments, ATM/debit cards, and Currency Transaction Reports.
  • Balance cash drawer and daily transactions with minimal discrepancies, in accordance with Teller Standards.
  • Perform miscellaneous duties such as scanning checks, filing, data entry, assisting members with the coin sorter, and answering incoming calls.
  • Promote and recommend Credit Union products and services to meet member needs and support organizational growth.
  • Maintain current knowledge of Credit Union policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
  • Complete all required training within designated time frames.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements

Schedule:

Monday-Friday 11a-4p, ~20 hours per week.

Saturdays, as needed.

Coverage area will primarily be Cobb County, but assistance in Cherokee County may be required as needed.

Experience:

1+ years practical work experience.

Cash handling and/or customer service experience is strongly preferred.

Education/Training:

High school diploma or GED required.

All employees must complete annual training modules including but not limited to cyber security, bank secrecy act as well as other compliance and regulatory requirements.
