Position SummaryThe College of Veterinary Medicine invites applications for clinical track (non‑tenure track), tenure track, or tenured faculty positions in small animal internal medicine at the rank of assistant, associate, or full professor.
Major responsibilities include teaching and providing service in small animal internal medicine in the Veterinary Teaching Hospital; teaching didactic and laboratory courses related to internal medicine topics; actively participating in the training of residents and interns; and developing a research program, which can be independent and/or collaborative with other faculty members. Proportionate assignments for each area will be based on the candidate’s interests in conjunction with the missions of the internal medicine program and the Department.
Duties/ Responsibilities
- Teach and provide service in small animal internal medicine in the Veterinary Teaching Hospital.
- Teach didactic and laboratory courses related to internal medicine topics to veterinary students.
- Actively participate in the training of residents and interns.
- Develop a research program, independent or collaborative.
- All candidates must have a DVM or equivalent degree.
- Completed an approved residency of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine or the European College of Veterinary Internal Medicine, and have board certification or be eligible for board certification.
- For tenure‑track or tenured faculty ranks, documented research productivity commensurate with rank and interest in developing a research program is required.
