Position Summary

The Admissions Counselor on the Georgia Recruitment Team is to provide services and answer questions for prospective students, their families, and their guidance or school counselors; second, to serve as an effective member of the recruitment team to encourage a wide variety of academically qualified, intellectually curious, and actively involved first‑year and transfer students to attend the University of Georgia.

  • Considerable knowledge of admissions policies and procedures.
  • Considerable knowledge of recruitment, orientation planning, and counseling.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a wide variety of people.
  • Ability to communicate ideas effectively in writing and orally before large groups.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records, assemble and organize data, and prepare reports.
