The University of Georgia Department of Horticulture is seeking applicants as student workers with responsibility of operational management of field and container production of ornamental nursery crops along with supporting greenhouse and laboratory operations. Recruits will work to support an ornamental plant breeding program located at the Durham Horticulture Farm in Watkinsville, GA. The initial start date for this position is 3/1/2022 and continuation of the positions are contingent upon future funding.
Key Responsibilities- Operational management of field and container production of ornamental nursery crops.
- Support greenhouse and laboratory operations.
- Support an ornamental plant breeding program at Durham Horticulture Farm.
- Driving as part of role requirements.
