Duties/Responsibilities
  • Assists with daily operations related to academic support and related administrative tasks for the Director of Academic Support.
  • Evening study hall coverage 1-2 nights a week.
  • Work with a small caseload of students on development of study skills, time management, and organization.
  • Clerical duties, including but not limited to, handling information requests, preparing, and sending correspondence.
  • Assist Learning Specialists with additional tasks as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Position Summary: University of Georgia, a Division I member of the Southwestern Conference is currently seeking applications for an intern to provide administrative support for the Academic Support unit approximately 29 hours per week. The position is an 11-month appointment available beginning July 2026 and ending in May 2027.

Relevant/Preferred Education, Experience, Licensure, Certification in Position: Master’s degree or progress towards degree in Education, Higher Education, Psychology, Sport Management, or a related field. Experience in collegiate athletics academic support, higher education, teaching, or related field. Familiarity with NCAA rules and regulations.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies : Ability to read and write business correspondence and to communicate proficiently with individuals within and outside the University by telephone and email.
