Athletic Academic Mentor - Non-Student

Position Summary

Assist student-athletes in their academic endeavors by providing supplemental support. This part-time position requires academic mentors to meet with student-athletes weekly during regularly scheduled sessions to foster academic independence and encourage self‑regulated learning. Pay is $15 per hour.

• Provide individual and small group tutoring to student‑athletes in assigned subjects within the scope of UGA, SEC, and NCAA rules and regulations.
• Assist students in improving academic achievement in weekly meetings that clarify concepts, enhance study skills, and review class materials within the scope of UGA, SEC, and NCAA rules and regulations.
• File reports on sessions and follow all departmental policies.
• Attend mandatory trainings.
• Communicate with students’ other support staff team members.

1 hour session – $15.00 an hour.
