- Field and work processing of samples, including helping to plant, maintain, harvest, and process field studies. Data collection.
- Laboratory work: processing, sorting, inspecting plant samples for diseases and insect damages; data collection and entry.
- Assist with sampling field trials for insects and various plant measurements.
- Out‑of‑town travel to research plots during the workday as needed.
High school or equivalent, or combination of education and work experience in the lab and field plots or a related area. Other training will be provided as appropriate.
Knowledge & Skills- Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
- Ability to work independently or with supervision.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Bend and lift up to 50 pounds, work in a laboratory for multiple hours a day. Intermittent out‑of‑town travel to research plots during the workday. Driving as needed for job duties.
Additional Information- Position is not a position of trust.
- Does not involve access to financial resources.
- Operation of P‑Card not required.
- Driving is required.
- No direct interaction or care of children under 18.
- No security access.
