Position Summary
The Department of Clinical and Administrative Pharmacy (CAP) in the College of Pharmacy at the University of Georgia is expanding our teaching faculty to meet the needs of our growing educational programs. CAP is seeking an outstanding, energetic and innovative educator to join our faculty. This is a full time, non-tenure track position at the rank of lecturer. This position will be located in Athens, Georgia.
The primary duties of the faculty member include teaching in the undergraduate and graduate programs and being actively engaged in citizenship to the college. The faculty member will teach the equivalent of up to three 3-credit hour courses per academic term, participate in the development of new course materials, and supervise teaching assistants. The position will interact with students, CAP faculty, faculty from other units in the College of Pharmacy, and staff.
In addition, there is a high level of autonomy.
Additional Requirements
* Candidates must have a doctoral degree (e.g., PhD, Pharm
D, MD/DO, DNP) for their respective field or the minimum of a master's degree for health-related fields such as physician assistant, nurse practitioner, nursing, or others.
* Those without a terminal degree required for the rank of Lecturer must document exceptional accomplishments in a discipline area related to the position's responsibilities and must be approved for a terminal degree exception before hire.
Relevant/Preferred Education, Experience, Licensure, and/or Certification Preferred Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies
* Evidence of teaching excellence using active learning methods in small and large group settings is highly desirable.
* Preference will be given to candidates with demonstrated ability to teach immunology, pathophysiology, or pharmacology.
* Being able to teach biomedical data literacy is also desirable.
* Must have excellent communication skills.
Physical Demands
Extended periods of standing or sitting, vocal strain from talking, and moderate physical activity such as walking, reaching, and occasional lifting of teaching materials.

Teach and coordinate courses or equivalent team-taught courses throughout the undergraduate and graduate curriculum. Teach didactic course topics (e.g., Human Immunology, Human Pathophysiology, Human Pharmacology, Biomedical Data Literacy and Applications).
