Knowledge, Skills, Abilities And/Or Competencies
- Good communication skills – oral and written.
- Ability to work with various populations.
- Knowledge of Cooperative Extension 4-H program activities.
Physical Demands
- Some physical activity, including lifting; handling animals, supplies, demonstration materials, audio/visual equipment.
- Standing and/or sitting for varying lengths of time.
- Withstand seasonal weather for outdoor activities.
- Driving as needed.
Responsibilities
Teach 4-H Educational Learning programs in classroom settings.Direct 4-H’ers in preparation for competitive events.Arrange transportation for 4-H’ers to district and state events and provide leadership on attendance.Incorporate program evaluations and feedback in planning future programs.Publicize programs and workshops offered locally.Maintain office inventory of supplies.Participate in staff conferences and promote teamwork.Utilize research data and emerging issues for program development and teaching.Conduct in-school club meetings delivering curriculum that meets Georgia Professional Standards.Identify, recruit, train, and supervise 4-H volunteers in program planning and evaluation.Assist volunteers in completing 4-H Chaperone Training.Manage volunteer‑led programs such as Archery, Horse, BB, and Livestock teams.Produce reports to clients, staff, Board of Education, Commissioners, and public officials via electronic media.Submit accurate reports to GA Counts, 4-H enrollment, and District office.Operate under the Cooperative Extension Equal Opportunity plan.Assist with day‑to‑day operations of the county office.Attend 4-H events as assigned.Perform other duties as assigned by Lead 4-H Agent and County Coordinator.Credit and P-Card Policy
