Position SummaryUniversity of Georgia, a Division I member of the southeastern Conference is currently seeking applications for a graduate assistant to provide administrative support for the Academic Counseling unit 13-20 hours per week. The position is a 10-month appointment available beginning August 2026 and ending in May 2027.
Relevant/Preferred Education, Experience, Licensure, Certification in PositionBachelor’s degree. Acceptance into a University of Georgia graduate program. Enrolling in at least 9 graduate-level credit hours per semester.
Preferred candidates will have a strong interest in pursuing a career in Intercollegiate Athletics.
Additional preferred qualifications:
- Experience in collegiate athletics academic support, higher education, teaching, or related field
- Experience working with academically student‑athlete populations
- Familiarity with NCAA rules and regulations
- Read and write business correspondence and to communicate proficiently with individuals within and outside the University by telephone and email.
- Work independently and handle multiple tasks.
- Have excellent written and oral communication skills, skills in organizing and coordinating meetings, and the ability to interact with individuals at all levels.
