This is a full-time, on-site role for a Middle School Science Teacher at Double Helix STEAM School in Athens, GA. The teacher will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging science lessons that integrate STEAM principles for middle school students. The role includes developing curriculum, fostering inquiry-based learning, and encouraging hands‑on exploration while meeting educational standards. Teachers are also expected to create a supportive classroom environment, communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues, and contribute to the collaborative school culture.

• Proficiency in Science Education and strong knowledge of teaching middle school students
• Experience in Lesson Planning and Curriculum Development
• Exceptional Communication skills to effectively engage with students, parents, and team members
• Ability to inspire a love of science through interactive and project-based learning
• Passion for STEAM education and fostering creativity in students
• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Science, or related field (Master's degree preferred)
• State certification in teaching or willingness to obtain certification
• Experience teaching in a small or project-based learning environment is a plus
