Overview
Position: Part-time Adult Education ABE/HSE Instructor (Mornings)
Location: Athens, GA
Department: Adult Education
Reports to: Executive Director of Adult Education & Walton Campus
Salary/Benefits: Salary is commensurate with education and experience. No State of Georgia benefits.

Responsibilities- Identify student goals and design an appropriate program to address goals.
- Conduct assessments in reading, mathematics, and language in accordance with the appropriate assessment systems in order to ascertain the academic strengths and weaknesses of participants.
- Develop individualized plans of study for each participant in the program.
- Plan and deliver effective and comprehensive adult education instruction based on the appropriate curriculum guides and the needs of the population to be served.
- Plan, develop, and implement lessons that require the usage of higher-order thinking skills by the population served.
- Monitor and evaluate student progress for the purpose of determining and implementing modifications to the student’s original individualized program of study.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s degree in Adult Education, Business Education, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications- Master’s degree
- Understand adult education systems within the Technical College System of Georgia.
