Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent and 5 years of related experience

Preferred Qualifications

Ph.D. in Plant Breeding and Genetics or a related field, demonstrating significant expertise in marker/QTL discovery and molecular breeding. Background in statistical analysis of sequencing, marker, and field data.

Position Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team as a temporary research professional in soybean breeding and genetics. The successful candidate in this position will function as an integral member of a team to conduct soybean breeding and genetics molecular and field experiments.

Our research is focused on:
1) developing high-yielding soybean cultivars with herbicide tolerance, enhanced seed composition, insect and pathogen resistance,
2) Exploring QTLs for traits of interest in soybean such as disease and insect resistance, abiotic stress tolerance, and seed composition using genome-wide associate study or bi-parent mapping approaches,
3) identifying markers or haplotypes for precision marker-assisted selection,
4) Employing molecular breeding techniques to strategically pyramid or introgress QTL/genes into elite soybean germplasm, and
