Position Information

Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent and 5 years of professional experience
Preferred QualificationsAt least three years of experience in educational projects designed to impact educationally non-traditional students. Master's degree in a related field.
Position SummaryThe position requires the person to manage the daily operation of three federally funded Upward Bound Programs, which involves performing general administrative duties; marketing services; supervising staff, recruiting, hiring and training staff; evaluating staff annually; overseeing all Upward Bound services provided to participants; established procedures to select middle and high school students for participation and verifying their eligibility; maintaining compliance with federal TRIO requirements;
and maintaining records in compliance with federal and University policies.
- Experience and training in managing similar projects, higher education and supervising, maintaining budgets, written reports, and program evaluations.
- Retention strategies and collegiate curriculum, terminology, and pivoting to online resources.
- Ability to set goals, based on participant needs, individual group and virtual service delivery coordination.
- Including knowledge of services, objectives, regulations, and reporting procedures.
- Strong oral and written communication and experience of supervising staff, experience with data management systems, experience conducting program evaluations and administering projects, and excellent analytical skills.
- Knowledge of retention strategies and collegiate curriculum terminology.
Ability to drive to site schools and programming events as needed. Ability to lift 10-15 lbs.
