Applicants should hold a PhD degree in Computer Science or a closely related field.

Position Summary

The School of Computing at the University of Georgia invites applications for one clinical assistant professor position starting August 2026. This is a full‑time 9‑month non‑tenure‑track position. The position will involve teaching, and may include corporate outreach, program coordination, and/or research, with an emphasis on applied and/or pedagogy‑related scholarship.

Additional Requirements

The candidate should have a minimum of 2 years professional experience in the field that enables them to support student career preparation through connections with corporate partners, internships, and/or career‑development curricula.

A candidate with a lesser degree but a significantly longer record of professional work and accomplishments may be considered. Candidates without a terminal degree must document exceptional accomplishments in their field and receive approval for a terminal degree exception before hire.
