- Tutor student(s) and aid in their understanding of the material covered in their courses (60%).
- Maintain a record of what occurred in each tutoring session, including topics covered, student progress, time spent, and student’s level of preparedness for tutoring (15%).
- Review course topics ahead of sessions to be prepared to utilize time scheduled with student(s) (10%).
- Ensure compliance with NCAA, SEC, and institutional rules and regulations pertaining to the area of academic assistance (10%).
- Communicate changes in schedule or needs of individual students with Math Lab Coordinator and academic counselors (5%).

Position Summary: Act as one-on-one or small group tutor for student-athletes enrolled in MATH, STAT, PHYS, CSCI, or other math related courses.
Relevant/Preferred Education, Experience, Licensure, Certification in Position:
- Bachelor’s degree in Math, Education or a related field.
- At least 1 year of teaching or tutoring experience.
- Familiarity with current technologies used to teach math, including computer programs and graphing calculators.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies :
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical procedures or governmental regulations.
