An earned doctoral degree (upon appointment) in nutrition or a related scientific field.
Position Summary
POSITION : Assistant Professor of Nutritional Neuroscience (45% Research, 50% Teaching, 5% Service), 9-month academic year tenure-track appointment in the Department of Nutritional Sciences in the College of Family and Consumer Sciences https://.edu.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE :

  • Develop a nationally recognized and externally-funded program in the area of nutritional neuroscience.
  • Direct and support research programs of PhD and MS-level students.
  • Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in nutrition.
  • Engage in collaborative and interdisciplinary research with faculty in Nutritional Sciences, the College of Family and Consumer Sciences and other UGA departments/colleges.
  • Contribute to activities that serve the department, college, university, the public and the profession.
