Position SummaryThe student will be working in the Facilities Management Division performing mail room work and providing customer service. This involves tasks like sorting mail, processing outgoing mail (including applying postage), handling package tracking, and maintaining accurate records.
Duties & Responsibilities- Sorting incoming mail and packages by department, recipient, or other designated criteria.
- Deliver mail and packages to designated departments.
- For time‑sensitive items, notify recipients by phone or email. (50% of time)
- Process outgoing mail by weighing it, applying correct postage, and preparing it for USPS pickup or delivery to USPS post office.
- Use tracking labels to manage and track packages.
- Maintain accurate records of outgoing mail and package postage charges. (40% of time)
- Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor. (10% of time)
Able to follow instructions and work effectively and communicate clearly and concisely with others.

Physical DemandsRequires lifting and carrying packages up to 40 pounds, standing, reaching, lifting, pulling, bending, and walking to and from buildings.
