Job Summary
As a Service Assistant at Skier’s Marine in Athens, you help ensure the service department's efficiency. Your mission is to provide high-level administrative and logistical support to the Service Advisor and technicians. The ideal candidate is proactive and thrives in a fast-paced environment and pays close attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
Core Support Functions
Documentation & Intake:
Assit in Photographing all service boats upon arrival following Skier’s Marine Best Practices; accurately upload all images and initial intake data to the service team Google Drive.
Parts Coordination:
Assist the Service Advisor by tracking parts orders, verifying arrivals, and organizing inventory to ensure technicians have what they need to meet delivery deadlines.
Customer Logistics:
Assist with a warm greeting for arriving customers, record initial service needs, and ensure the service lot stays organized and professional.
Warranty Assistance:
Gather necessary documentation and photos for warranty claims; assist in packaging and shipping parts back to manufacturers as required.
Administrative & Team Integration
System Proficiency:
Maintain accurate data entry in Windows/macOS systems; must type at least 55 words per minute to keep up with fast-paced documentation needs.
Team
Collaboration:
Participate in dealership meetings and maintain open lines of communication with the sales and shop teams to ensure boats are staged and ready for pickup.
Workflow Assistance:
Clear "bottlenecks" by moving boats, organizing paperwork, or running errands that allow the Service Advisor to focus on customer consultations.
Qualifications
Proven experience in an administrative, porter, or assistant role (marine, automotive, or powersports industry preferred).
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple "moving parts" at once.
Excellent verbal communication and a helpful, professional "can-do" attitude.
Basic understanding of service processes (parts, work orders, or logistics).
Proficiency with Google Workspace (Drive, Sheets) and Microsoft Office.
Valid driver’s license and the ability to work in a physically active service environment.
